One of the more frustrating allergies for horse owners is "sweet itch." This is just the common a term used to describe a horse's allergic reaction to bites from insects. Sweet itch is also known as Seasonal Equine Dermatitis or Equine Insect Bite Hypersensitivity. In this week's podcast we discuss the exact causes of sweet itch and which insects are of the greatest concern. Then we talk about management strategies that owners can use to lessen their horse's exposure.
